Well this is my second pair of 3.5 inch Haitiensis also spawning. She has been laying eggs this morning.Below is a video and pic.
My question is would this slow their growth due to them breeding at such a young age?

That is what I hear about breeding at such a young age but I can't tell you from experience. Anyways, you got a beautiful pair....congrats and good luck!

Here you go...

That's awesome bro:) are They in a tank by themselves. What size tank? What you feeding them. IMO the haits that some of us received are the healthiest I've seen in a long time. Keep posting more pics. If I could get to a computer I would be able to throw up pics of mine. Did you happen to have any males from the batch that were dark almost like a female? Good luck bro I love odos their my favorite next to My umbee pair.

Congrats! And in my experience, it will slow their growth rate some.Seems to be more so with the females than the males.I don't have experience with haits but I'm sure it's pretty much the same with Ca/Sa fish

Very nice bro. My pair still hasn't bred for me yet. Hopefully I find your luck soon.
What are your water conditions? What diet and how much are you feeding them?Do you have lots of current?

1. Diet varied - 6 different types, but they love massivore delite
2. I have very hard water
3. Only current is from the Fluval FX5
4. Tank is a 125 Gal

I would add two powerheads, raise my temp to about 82-84,do you have some salt in your water?

I don't think it stunts their growth, but I do think it slows their growth. Reason being is they spend more time and effort rearing the fry, then they do feeding themselves.
