Could anyone please tell me how you can sex a Black Nasty ? Is it possible when they are only small ?

So what about when they are just around 2.5" ? Does a female have a lot of solid black areas on her at the size ? Mine looks like the male in the picture above.
Here's a 3" hait, that my guess would be female, by the darkness in the dorsal, but 100% sure, no.
Okay..mine right now...is smaller than yours and looks like the male in the other picture..it was sexed by the breeder to be a male..so I'm hoping it is.
