Haitiensis/umbee juvie pics/vid

[Dovii kid]

Recently got back into the hobby, and figured Id start out with some juvies of my favorite cichlids! They(4 umbees, 3 haitiensis, 1 female convict) are all currently residing in a 55g gallon. The 125 gallon is gonna be set-up/cycled soon, this will give me some time to save up for the eventual umbee enclosure. Sorry for the crappy pics!

I was bored today, figured Id get a pic of my umbee(thinking its a male). Sorry for the crappy pic, it was taken with a camera phone...Id say he is around 7.5" now. Not bad growth rate for around 7 months.

Thanks for the compliment. I wish I had a better camera, as that pic does absolutely no justice.

What do you guys think, male or female? Im thinking male based on the long trailers and attitude. He/she has since taken out all the other growouts, and is turning in to quite the glass banger at just that size. Im setting up the 125gallon this week, to give it a little extra room. I will probably go with black sand and a black background, as I feel the white sand/no background kind of bleaches out the colors.
