First of all there is nothing wrong with asking a lot of questions, the only stupid questions are those not asked.
I'd recommend you contact some of your local fish stores and check if they are available, if they aren't you can ask if they are available to order.

Is there any worry about restricted species in australia? There are loads of fish you can't have here in the states.
Yeah I'll check the restricted list. Yeah there's heaps of restricted species all crenicichla, emperor cichlid just to name a few
Its funny, about 10 years ago, I was giving them away, I had a pair that spawned twice per year. And after a while, I had a hard time simply giving them away, I'd bring bags to club meetings in Chicago and Milwaukee, and get few takers on free bags of a dozen or more juvies.
