Half of my fish died when the power went out.

It was 2 o clock in the morning when I got up in the middle of the night and I finded that my filter for all my tanks were not working. I got up and toke my reverse osmosis water to the tank and put it in the filters and got them started. 2 hours later I got up and I saw half of my fish DEAD lost two bala sharks one angelic catfish one green pleco adn two red tail sharks I was really bum'd out.

That sucks! Be prepared, get a battery opperated air pump and some heat things.

That really sucks - without a backup power source we are all sort of at the mercy of the utility companies. Sorry to hear about your bad luck.

It was also due to the ammonia and nitrates from the filters running out.
