Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has a kept a datnoid where only half it's body has gone stable. The other half of the body is stilll black. He is only around 2"

I've tried to take some photos but they haven't come out too well due to how fast the little guy is.

Feeding extremely well on crushed up carnivore as well. And usually kept in a black mesh basket

Yes that is completely normal. That looks to be an Indonesian datnoid. What's the cost of it in Australia?

I would not worry too much especially if that piece was only recently introduced to your tank. It should come around once settled.

On the bright side, you have a very promising start knowing that it is already taking pellets!!

Sounds good! I've had him for two weeks. I started with prawns and then moved to crushed up pellet soaked prawns and starved him for 3 days and he took pellets :). Always worked with my Rays so why not datnoids

My goodness.....the little guy looks like it might have nice markings though.
I read were you said you keep it some kind of basket which is a good thing or that ray would probably try to eat it.
