i recently bought one, its in a bucket right now to grow out so i cant really take a good pic of it. but it has tiny red eyes and a bright white body. its no more than an inch and like 1mm wide, yet i dropped a pinhead in the bucket and it snatched it up like a true monster! i was worried it would choke because it looked like a snake tryna eat an ostrich egg but it consumed it!

looks like a little pencil shaving in the water. lol

actually im hooked on these long barracuda-like predators and now i wanna find some. how many different species of halfbeaks are there? or what about pencil-looking predator fish? since needlefish and gars are ILLEGAL in hawaii...

any other cool long predator fish legal here? im looking for mini monsters that are streamlined like barracuda and able to eat guppies etc.

BTW-your Avatar is kind of dumb.

and your kind of helpful, yet kind of rude?

thank you, kind of.

May get too large with the fish you want but Aces-their is one scientific name Ace. Isaline that does not get too large and could cohabit with the fish you want.

i haven't specified the fish i want. thats why im looking for suggestions. basically looking for miniature fish with generally a streamlined body and a predatory attitude. ambush-like.

Have you ever heard of the Silver Needle Fish? There loaded in Lake Wilson but very hard to catch you need use really small spoons or live bait. They are very aggressive towards fish smaller then them and have very sharp teeth! well hope this helped :)
