I have found some DE 150w 14000k bulbs on the net, no brand but china made with german internals (apparently). There are also solarmax brand for double price of the no name. Is it a big risk buying products like this? Will they do a fine job? Or should i be spending ten times the price on well known brands at the LFS?

i would not touch cheap bulbs with a barge pole....they always give off below par lighting. Never seen a cheap bulb give out as much light as a better brand of the same wattage...
