Halogen Bulbs?

Are normal halogen flood lights ok for bearded dragons. Ive heard of people using them before but then Ive also heard not to? Also what is a good temp gun to use. Thanks

The bulbs work great for heat and heat only. They do not put out any UV rays so that will need to be provided in another form. Halogen bulbs can be purchased for cheap at Home Depot or Lowes.

^^ Agree, I use a "Temp-gun PE-2, I got it for like 20 bucks.

I agree with the above two posts, yes they're good but don't provide all the lighting, and Pro Exotic's temp guns are good.

Thanks, Ive got a reptisun 10.0. Ive tried a flood light and now Im trying just a normal incandescant. If this fails, Ill buy a 60 watt halogen. I guess Ill order a PE1, ive heard they can be inaccurate though so Im not sure.
