hammer fish?

my friend from zimbabwe says that people over there keep freshwater fish that he calles "hammer fish" but i cant find this on the internet. he says its very popular in southern africa as an aquraium fish. he says its head looks like a hammer but vertically, not horizontaly like a hammerhead shark.

Does anyone know what kind of fish he is talking about? or is this a fish us ppl in the US simply dont know about.

Yeah thats wat i was thinking but there are none that really resemble a hammer. and its popular enough for a kid that didnt have any fish to know about, the only other fish he knew of was goldfish that ppl kept
