Hammerhead becoming endangered

Are hammerhead sharks going to be put on the endangered species list? I have the opportunity to buy one and they are badass. I always wanted one and the seller said they are going to become illegal to sell. If I buy it now it will be grandfathered in. But I am not sure they are going to be endangered. This might be my last opportunity.

Tons of species of hammer heads.....smallest is bonnethead but your looking at a 5,000 gallon tank if not mistaken. And honestly thier are very few members on this site that have tanks of that size....
