I used to keep great, scallop and bonnet pups in a round pool, then slowly introduce them to obsticles (big plastic tash cans filled with water) so they would learn to nagivate around them. I'd seen bubbles walls used with mixed results... but have never done that myself.

Eyes/rostrum damage and foreign object injestions have been the two biggest issues I've faced with hammer species. Soft sides seem to help alot. One thing I've seen with the one's I've had it that if the pumps are close enough to the pool to send vibrations down the pipe and vibrate the sides, it seems to cause problems. I've had to move pumps away, or add more pipe length between the pump and the pool. It's almost like the virbating sides throw them off while swimming. Foreign electrical currect can do the same thing.
