Hampala barb help!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Tsk, tsk. Buying fish and then asking "How do they act?". ;)

I think you will find they are extremely easygoing fish, very gluttonous, slow growing, and do best in shoals. 2 will probably war with each other, although in a sizable tank that isn't too much of a concern.

Feeding your rays (and just about everything else) with them in the tank will present a few minor adjustments on your part. Did I mention they are gluttons? :D

I had one for a while (then something ate it :( ). Anyhow, they eat anything and everything. I definately noticed the growth in the few months I had it, but it wasn't anything huge. They are really cool fish, get rather large though.

Very friendly guys, moderate growers. I'm still waiting to get my bag of them. Great fish and look really good at 2 feet
Im glad.

Great active barb with huge mouth and appetite to match. i have three, and bigger they get the better they look. not very fast growing but worth the wait.:)
