hampala barb or hoeveni barb which one???????

I want one of these fish but not both to go with the fish listed below. Which one should I get? Which is more colorful? Isnt the hampala too big for a 300 gal tank? Opinions please

I prefer Hampala over Leptobarbus but the choice is yours, but according to fishbase Leptobarbus get larger of the two, 100cm. think Hampala would be better choice.

The hampala would be my choice too. Although I suspect the hampala would be more inclined to predate on some of the other stuff if they don't keep up on the growth rate.

I also was thinking the mouth of the hampala looks big compared to the hoevenii, is this true?, does the hoevenii have a smaller mouth? In all your opinions whish fish would go best with the fish listed below in the long run?

Hampalas get quite predaceous as they get older, as adults their main diet is smaller fish, hmmm.

Thats what I was thinking (see post above) maybe the hoevenii would be better in the long run, dont want my T barbs and chalceus prayed upon, both only get to 8 inches maybe.

hampalas tend to be very predatory.
