hand feeding aro

i started to hand feed my 15" silver the other day at first to came up and took goldfish and shrimp nicely out of my hand. after a few days it got hit and miss and my finger! do they ever learn to "take it nice" like mine did to start or will it always be hit or miss?

Hit and miss has been my experience, although when my RTG nips my finger, he lets go right away. Always gentle.

my silver grabbed, shook, and didn't let go until after it was half way out of the water....i had my thumb start to bleed. i was not expecting that!

Mine doesnt let go until i pull it halfway out of the water.

lol my jar is incredibly nice hes like 9 inches no aggression what so ever

i give feeders sometimes but i use them mainly for my gar in the same tank. all my feeders get isolated for a while till they get feed to my gar. i just put in what it can eat.

Mine takes them pretty gently at the moment hes about 2 foot long silver arrow.

No doubt he will get me one day!

thats how mine started. it did this for 2 weeks or so then WACK my thumb. now it hasn't taken anything nice!
