Quarantine Tank
I recently started to hand feed my silver aro dried shrimp. FYI my dat, silver dollar, tin foil, and gold sevrum are also pretty brave and eating from my hand now also. All my fish are fairly young and still growing up. :)

I was just wondering if anybody is aware or any pros or cons of handfeeding???

The only thing I could think of is that it might make it more prone to jumping out of the tank. (yes i know I can be bitten and yes its covered, but there are so many stories of aros pushing f*&C#K@N bricks off of lids etc.)

Anybody else do this??? thoughts or comments??? :)

i don't understand what you are triing to say

I used to handfeed my aro too. U juz cant beat the feeling when its swimming fast towards ur fingers and snatch the food away. Hah :D

But if u place ur hand in the water during feeding, i dun think it will encourage ur aro to jump

I hand feed 24 inch aro. He occasionally nips my fingers.

He has bruised my fingers bad though. But that was when I was cleaning the tank.

i personally dont think hand feeding aros is a good idear as when you put your hand into the tank to do water changes they think your hand has food in it and will bite you
