Hi Alex,
thats turning into some ray isnt it? not only is it beautifully marked its feeding from your hand like a dog.....fantastic!
See you have transfered him to his new pond also, intelligent creatures these rays arent they?
Hi Nic,
where i would agree theres always a risk of getting stung by a ray when you enter its domain i feel the risk is very small unless you step on it or try to threaten or restrain it against its wishes in any way. What i would say is that you should always let the stingray come to you(as in the video),any sudden movement towards an unwilling fish could result in a nasty injury....hand feeding is probably best done by experienced ray keepers only.
I had a couple of rays I would not hand feed, my cb marbles who are fine one minute then the next minute they get jumpy, and a past male castexi who would do the same. I just don't trust a jumpy ray with my hands.
im not gonna get into a discussion/ argument about hand feeding,
if you think im being "smart" by doing it, thats your opinion,
(its an inaccurate opinion but whatever)
