cool can they live with cichlids because i want 1 now

From the looks of it, you gotta' either increase the water level or lower the sun bathing platform. It shouldn't be such a chore for the DBT to get onto land and they aren't as alert as humans to know there is a slightly elevated part at the side. I was tired just watching him try to reach that pellet. Haha. Very interesting Terrapin though, never seen one like yours. Love the patterns around its neck region.

At first it was trying to climb up the side, simply because that looked like the fastest way to the food. Later though, it uses the actual ramp and has no trouble.

^^Yup, there is a ramp that makes accessing land easy. Not everything in nature is set up for ease of use...

I've raised several turtles over the years and I don't think I would have trusted any of them to know the difference between their food pellets and my fingers. Awesome video...

DBTs have been my favorite aquatic turtle for several years now. I've been threatening to turn my 125 gal into a DBT habitate for quite some time. This video sure pushes me closer to doing that...

Thanks for sharing!

Nice! Looks great.

The short answer is no, i wouldn't recommended just going out and buying one of these. Some research would be good.
