hand feeding silver arowana

hey there ive bin trying hand feed my arowana krill but when gets to close to it must see my hand any ideas hes bout 6 maybe 7 inches
 
Silver's can be tricky it will take time mine yoused to atack so hard thay would get my finger lol just keep trying. The way i got mine to is to keep trying to pet them and im not talking chase them with your hand try and pet the fish a few times a day and after a week or so it will no longer be afrad of your hand and will start to feed just be worned it will startle the hell out of you the first time thay get your finger lol

think about it.. its not like feeding a parrot.. takes a lot of trust for the fish to come to you and they don't have to literally pull it out off your hand.. just let go as they get closer.. they will take it.. cheers
 
My silver eats out of my hand as well as my Oscar. My dovii would if I let him kind of afraid to lol. I just let them pull the food out. Maybe I should feed them more.

lol kaya very true with every thing there is a risk. i just like the risk and the reword is even cooler because my girlfriend wont stop giggling when all my cats rush my hand and the pb starts . i have got a tone of fish to hand feed im strating to work on gitting my arow to do it i have a 17" jaradini that im nursing back to health. best of luck with your silvers and remember to be pashent :)

I just bought a 6 inch jardini a week ago. I don't hand feed, but to get his attention, I just tap the water and drop the food in when he gets close.
 
If it is possible wud like him take it from hand no probs feeding he knows wen its tht Time Thts wiv blood worm, wen I feed him krill n can hold it bit betta he stays away till I let go :-(
