Has anyone been ever to teach their knife to be hand fed? Mine is still to shy. I feed him with a turkey baster and he has come to the opening of his hiding spot when he sees it coming and starts feeding from it when I squirt. Thought maybe I could work him up to the surface to get a treat. What do you all think?

its been done, but its very hard, from what i hear. what sort of knife fish do you have? when they are larger they are less shy, but they may mistake your finger for a fish ;)

BGK's tend to hand feed fairly easy IME

but one accomplishment my P. Afers will take freeze dried krill from my hand (or used to I haven't tried to hand feed them in a while) buts that used to be the only way I could ensure that they were eating when all they did was stay in the pot I would hold the freeze dried krill right in front of the entrance of their cave and they would stick their mouths out and grab the krill from my fingers

Try it with frozen food. My BGK, loaches, and glass catfish swim right into my hands for the food. I feed my fish every day when the lights go out. Once I stick my hand in there, they go nuts.

My Clown Knife would come over for food pretty much from the first day I had him, but I never really tried to hand-feed in the few weeks I had him. I do believe he would have picked that up though, he was quite bold for a little guy.

Not too sure...my little guys only about 7 to 8 inches but is still shy!:(

i got my dat to swim into my net to eat his guppies, but never the clown knife!

several people claim they have, do a search, and you'll see. thought I would love to see some video!

Mine comes right up and eats out of my hand no problem. Of course I've got two gouramis that do the same thing. Of course I love my CK more....but shhhh...don't tell the other fish.
