do they make spare parts such as the handles i picked up a 404 with only one handle ( owner steeped and broke the other one) and it will obviously leak if i dont find another one.. ive tried ducktaping and other things but not very effective

Do you mean a handle for the actual lid of the canister itself?? That would be a nightmare as the preassure would cause it to leak continuously.
If so i have never seen them and i have a 404 and a 205.
Have you contacted Hagen themselves yet? I would do that first and see what they say, otherwise i think that you may need to spring for a new filter.
