my male MM has been trying it on with female Leo last couple weeks. Seen him chasing her and trying to flip her etc.

was feeding this morning when the female passed a small poo followed by what I can only presume to be big sperm plug? Does these mean I should start counting the days or do this just mean they are trying?

never bred before so need guidance lol

I've noticed that over the last couple of days the female has fresh bites on her disk that weren't there before, does this mean that the male is still trying it on?

surely if he's got her he should stop, or does it not work like that?

I literally saw the female pass the sperm plug so know it wasn't just 'missed' and free floating in tank?!

If it carries on you may want to separate for a while but if he got the job done he should leave her alone, although there always exceptions.
