I need to get ride of my hap today. think i could put in it my dads tank a 55g with two red belly piranhas?? I know piranhas should be kept alone but sense their is only two think it would work?

i dont even know what a hap is but i'm going to go with no.....not unless there's a significant size difference and it's a very very short term situation.

ask kevinfleming about his piranhas and lungfish

= ( fish sticks

That's an almost sure-fire way to get rid of it. lol

Why do you "need to get rid" of you hap? It will be eaten by your RBP's. I do not understand at all what you are asking!

I would not think that the simple fact that the hap would be feeder fish for the piranah so disuade you a bit if it is indeed a fact that you "WANT TO GET RID" of the hap. I am sure that the hap would be very nutricious and make for a fantastic meal for your pets and 100% satisfy desire to "get rid" of the hap.

You then ask if the hap that you want to "get rid" of will live a happy life with your dad's RBP's.

Again not sure what gives. These seriously seem two polar oposites. If you want to "get rid" of the fish, I would think it's welfare was not paramount and that I would rather reap some benefit for my other pets with the loss of fish than to just chuck it out (cull it).

If you for some reason are concerned with the haps welfare, take it to your LFS and trade it to them for store credit. Again, this would be the best of both worlds for you. You could still reap some benefit from the "loss" of your hap and still feel comfortable that you did the right thing in giving the hap (that you do hold some concern for) the best possible chance for a healthy comfortable remaining life.

Summary: Hap should only go into the pops 55 RBP tank only if you are 100% perfect with it being utilized as fish food. I am going out on a limb and guessing that you do have some sense of concern for your fish, in which case the answer is very simple and absolute.

NO!

you could've saved yourself all the typing and just read the last sentence from the original post.

Seems he was asking if they could co hab together, not if he should feed it to his dad's red bellies
