I had these fry from a mixed peacock/Hap tank a few months ago. I’m not sure what type since I’m not good at identifying females and I don’t know which male . One is starting to color up and I have an idea what they might be, but what type do you guys think they are?

Oof, that could be a lot of things. It looks like a peacock face to me - but I could be wrong. The white blaze on the top and touch of white on the pelvic fins and the blue face could be Aulonocara Usisya/Chiwindi (flavescent/blue neon). Or he could be a hybrid just about anything. Without more color, it is hard to tell.

Hopefully a real expert will hop on.

Thank you, maybe I’ll try again when they’re a little bigger, I was thinking possible fryeri since I had two males, but I have no idea what type my females were. I also had dragonbloods, OBs a Taiwan reef, a few stuartgranti flavescant and a few unknowns.I sold all of my peacocks n haps and just have these fry leftover, I’m debating on keeping or selling them, but I want to know what I have and if they’re hybrids beforehand.

They look a little too short for fryeri, a little more peacock shaped, but Fryeri could still be right. The white blaze...

Haha, that would make sense
