I was wondering if anybody else keeps these? I picked up two yesterday at the auction, both were pretty washed out from the long day. Turned out to be one male and one female :) So I'm just seeing how many others keep these guys

I have noticed they are very timid fish, the male stays hidden in his cave most of the time while they female comes out but is very easily spooked. when the male does come out he is gorgeous. Such a beautiful yellow/gold

Which auction??? I was at the one in Schertz on Sunday.

Is was at the one in schertz sunday. I probably saw you there and didnt even notice you. I think there was 4 of the kenya golds that were up for auction, I snagged two of them and a few other goodies. Like the L200 green phantom pleco :)

I got the L201 Columbian Snowball Pleco and some other africans. I was the guy who bought the ugly green piece of fake coral (my son had to have it, lol)

I was actually thinking about buying that peice lol. I couldnt believe that tank with the 3d background didnt sell the first time. I even went to the guy selling it and offered him $80 for it before they reauctioned it. it was my first fish auction, but they had some pretty cool stuff.

That 201 looked awesome, if I hadnt already bought the L200 I probably would have tried for him. what other kind of africans did you get?

I'll try to get a pic of it tomorrow. I'm horrible with names but I'll see if I can look it up. Was my first auction as well. Did you see the Blue Phantom Pleco in the back

You guys and your auctions...lol...I wish there was some around here. I'd love some kenya golds! I didn't even know you could find them in the states...never hear of people keeping them really

I did see the Blue Pleco, there was a lot of cool stuff at the auction. And I talked to dave from davesfish.com and he said that he used to have a few of these kenya golds but couldn't get them to spawn for him and let them go to his friend who I guess entered them in the auction. Dave said they are pretty rare but hopefully I can find some more females and try and get some babies, If so I'd be glad to share with you clownknife :)
Ill try and get some pictures of them when I find a camera to use thats not my phone lol
