And guess what I got to do, VERY FIRST THING for my birthday?.......
Catch a bat, lol.
Last night Just before curling up in bed with my wife, she let the dogs out.. one finial pee @ 0100.. (We wanted to be able to sleep in, and not get woken up at 0630)
So there she goes, opens the door to let them out .. and not a few inches above her head shoots a little bat, getting in the house..
HERE I am post-op still on crutches with a wife freaking out screaming throughout the house. I grab my crutches and hobble out to her while thinking maybe a fox got in the fenced in area of the backyard for the dogs.. Not uncommon in my area.
And she shoots past me screaming bloody murders, something like "OhMyGodTheresABatinTheHouseKILLLLLLLIT" .......
Happy Birthday... me, lol.
What am I to do, at 0115ish with crutches, a cast, a wife freaking out, and dogs chasing and barking what appears to be nothing in the darkness.

finally got it down in the basement, all the doors shut, minus the side entryway. Me on crutches balancing a open box below it hanging from the ceiling tiles. The bat dropped to fly away, the 6" into the large box. My wife shuts the lid..
One Bat released back into the wild, one great birthday story
