So Friday I was trolling mfk and I saw the P.Polleni I had no idea what it was called just a random shot of it in someones tank. after googling black spotted cichlid and clicking on a half dozen malware sites I found then name.

So then I knew I just had to have it, spent all the rest of the day friday looking for one to buy. I found a nice guy on here who had some, I bought two of them and arranged to have them shipped yesterday.

WEll today I get my box and the postman said its leaking, I was like OMG I ripped the box open on the spot hopping for the best. I see the first bag has one fish in it and is full of water but the fish is dead. The second bag has almost no water at all but the fish is hanging in there. SO I dump the living fish in with the dead fish and run to my car and race home.

I dump both fish in a bucket start to accumulate and raise the temp back up to 80, and toss in an air stone.

The dead fish never came back alive but the the second on pulled through. So I am happy I got one of them but sad about the loss as the second one was the largest and had great color and a beautiful spot pattern.

I placed the smaller 4" surviver in my 220 and watched for 30 minutes none of the big boys messed with it, but my freaking 3.5" jewel wont let it any where near the drift wood. I then had to go back to work, I hope all is still well when I get home.

USPS are bad package handlers they clearly had the package upside down considering the fish where double bagged and placed in a very thick Styrofoam container which was taped shut. The outer package was so wet it was disintegrating in my hands.

Sorry to hear for your loss and I hope the survivor makes it. I was very nervous the first time I ordered fish and had delivered. The outcome for my guys was much better.
