I just turned on the light on my planted tank for the first time in a few days(black out to fight blue green algae and hair algae, both 99% gone) and saw my shrimp(forget species, need Rachel to help here). I added 10(bought from rachel, thanks again) and put them in a few weeks ago. I rarely see them(my tank is pretty heavily planted in the back) but they are more comfortable now so i do see them more often. Well i turn on the lights and count 8 shrimp. Best of all, 5 are prego!!!!
5!!
4 of the 5 have HUGE clutches, one is just decent sized. You can see in the pics the size of 2 of the clutches. I didnt get pics of the other 3 prego because i didnt see them untill after i put the camera away. Some of the pics are blurry, sry. hard to snap pics of them up close and Lampeyes(greatest micro fish ever) never stop moving. they are awesome fish!!
Happy day!!
EDIT* ugh those lampeyes do not take pics well. If you are thinking about getting some do not use my pics to base your opinion. These are awesome fish that dont take pics well. The blue in thier eyes are VERY bright under normal light, even brighter under dim light. Constant feeders and very personable as far as micro fish go.
