The fry have been free-swimming for about two weeks now and the mother is still protected the 4-5 dozen, which are left. Usually only takes anout 3 days before they're all eaten by the other pair.

my midas cichlid's fry became free-swimming yesterday...but no pic...i give all the credit to Mr. o-double seven...
