Happy Thanksgiving to MFK members that celebrate this holiday!

We just finished eating and are watching football. We had turkey breast, candied sweet potatoes, whole berry cranberry sauce and stuffing with sausage. Delicious!

Lol you guys and your football!! I'll admit you look like you have the best Thanksgivings. The games plus the feasts of Thanksgiving!! That's great. I'm watching a marathon of classic TV holiday episodes. I guess that's my tradition. My turkey totally finished ahead of schedule. Way ahead of schedule. I think it's because I didn't baste it a lot. Anyway I just finished lunch and the popper popped lol. So I'm going to have it for dinner.

I know it’s not thanksgiving anymore but it’s still the holiday season and this is turning out insanely good but I found a recipe from 1963 for a pumpkin loaf. The recipes as follows

preheat oven to 325°

2cups flour
1/2tsp baking soda
1tsp baking powder
1/2tsp salt
1tsp ground cinnamon
1tsp nutmeg powder
1tsp ground cloves
Mix all together in large bowl and set aside

3/4cup softened butter
2cup sugar
2 eggs
1 can of pumpkin purée
Mix together until it thickens and mix the two bowl contents and mix until it becomes batter and transfer to bread loaf tin and bake for 60-75minimage.jpg
Here’s mine so far ( still baking with 30min)

Turned out absolutely amazing, make sure you use a very sharp knife to cut the loaf otherwise the slices will crumble a bit but other than that 10/1040F72166-8ED0-4B7F-91C4-5F135B412825.jpeg
