hi mate , i think this is yet another of a spec that keeps turning up that no-one seams to know what it is ,
dr. britz of the brittish museam has had a look at the pictures and belives it is a strain of gachua found in northern myanmar and used that area Myitkina so for now i suppose we can use the i.d. channa gachua myitkina , the gachua group is probably the most diverse of all snakeheads and in time to come when the scientists have had time to go through the group properly it may well come to light that the gachua group actually has several species in there own right within it. as they are from myanmar i would treat as a sub tropical species
