Well our bread winner client screwed the pooch and we took a huge hit. Like no work until the first of the yr hit.

I'm forced to go on the road again which really sucks for everyone. Well I had to break down all my tanks last time this happened. My only remaining big fish is a 16" jaguar besides my little puffer tanks. The little tanks can come with me to extended stay. The problem is this jag destroyed his heater and really hurt himself. I've been changing water like crazy, but he's still looking rough.

Let's have a heart to heart. I don't think anyone would take care of him and I have to leave Monday. If it was your fish would you uthenize? I really think if not he'll die a slow death in someones hands and in don't have time to do anything with him.

Bummer, sorry to hear you’re going through some rough times bro. Life will always throw you curveballs.

If you could find someone you trust and knowing he/she will care for it, I’d say give the Jaguar a chance if not, sad to say I would put it down. But, that’d prob be for me the hardest thing to do. Good luck on your journey P PYRU .

If you do end up euthanizing, use clove oil, that is supposed to be the most humane way to do it.
How bad are his injuries? If you really think he will die from them either way, then best to euthanize. If he will likely get better, than you should try to find him another home imo.

Sorry to hear this as well. Take care of yourself and hopefully we will see you when things get settled.

Ruptured left eye, was electrocuted for awhile, and has cuts all over his head from I guess glass. I've been doing water changes like a mad man. He's doing better but looks roughed up. Not eating the best but is eating.

I'll be around as usual. Just won't have my bigger fish., because I can't take then with me. I'm sure things will come back on soon. My next big tank is going to be fully automated. I've got to find something that just allows the wife to feed

I know you are ignoring me but there are some high quality automatic feeders that will make it so that your wife won’t even have to be involved.

Sorry to hear about this. If I knew for sure I couldnt find proper care for him in my absence, personally I would euth. You could put an honest ad out and see if there is someone in your area with the experience and space to take him on first tho. Good luck and I hope things take an upward turn for you and yours very soon.

Maybe you could prepackage meals in a zip bag or something?

It is what it is. I've learned to roll with the punches. It could be worse. The contractor helping me just moved her RV down from colorado last wed only to find out her job was froze until further notice.

It can't hold a candle to getting hit by a tornado with no power for weeks. Losing numerous tanks along with a pond full of big boys and probably 20 tanks of dart frogs. Then having to take a sledge hammer to the pond after the job market plummeted.
