Alright, so here's the scoop. I got a new festea male, he's not the romeo of festea yet, but will get up there. (He got beat on in his last tank.) Well I got him for $20 at 11 inches, sweet deal, I know :naughty:. Well I put him in my 125 with my 9" red devil and 9" Female dovii. They didn't seem to mind each other until I left the room. They tagged teamed the crap out of him, I luckily saved him. The thing I want to know is if I should get rid of one of them? I've grown really close with my devil and dovii, and I don't want to just loose a new friend. I will be getting a 180/210 towards the end of summer, but don't want to wait that long. I want them to all live in harmony. Any suggestions?

divide it up

Don't really want to do that. I don't really think they are ever necessary unless breeding imo. I'm going to try and move the decorations around...

If you don't divide I would say yu aren't serious about his health. Like you said, your getting a bigger tank, so just put a divider in there until that time then introdue them all at the same time.

divide the tank for a while and then try it again

Put a divider, look while beat up real bad that festae will not need that much swimming room. When a person is badly beat up, will that person be able to move? No. Same with the fish. As long as the festae has enough room to turn around, you can divide it up so that the dovii and rd get the rest of the tank.

you probably need more fish in the tank.
3 aggressive fish is begging for a death.

i'd probably go with 1 really big fish
and then the rest smaller

you'd probably need some dithers to.

what made you decide to get a female dovii?
