One of my baby tems (6" or so) has a hard mass beneath this mouth. It seems to be bothering him because he tries to spit it out and has stopped eating. I took him out of the tank and looked in his mouth and his mouth and throat looks completely normal. I felt this protrusion from beneath his mouth and its really hard, like his normal cartridge or bone. Could this be a tumor/cancer? Pretty sure he's going to die if he doesn't start eating soon. Any thoughts? See pics.

could be developing HITH, just keep water top notch, 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and low nitrate. Many wc and 1 table spoon of rock salt per 10gal may help.

Ok just saw pics, may have ran into decor very hard or developing cist, not sure, clean water and salt, NO CARBON.

I think running into the decor or hitting the lid real hard is a good idea. It's almost like a broken bone or large scar/callus. Hopefully he'll make a recovery but I'm doubtful since he's not eating.

Just keep doing weekly 50% wc, try adding salt or stress coat, make sure temp is 80-84 and turn lites off. Let him rest, try throwing in some food tonight.
