I walk in from work last night to see a sight we all hate, a fish belly up :WHOA::WHOA::WHOA::WHOA::WHOA::WHOA::WHOA::WHOA:
To make matters worse it was one of my little Ansorgis:swear::swear::swear::swear:.... Apparently he tried to eat an algae wafer I dropped in for the Fei Feng and it got stuck in his teeth and he could not expel the mouth full of wafer and rocks he had.....
Hope his going helps someone else not make the same mistake :rip....

RIP

very sorry to hear tezr :(

Damn that's messed up about your loss. Sorry to hear. I never heard of bichir dying from gravel before. How big is the your grain of gravel?
it is rare, but it can happen. happened to me once.

Sorry for your loss. I have watched my bichirs come close to swallowing gravel while eating before. I am glad I have them all with sand now.

Sorry for your loss :( I recently lost a LF Sen because I didn't think to cut up the worm I was feeding it. I'd figured that it would've torn it up or something. It choked with a quarter of the worm sticking out of it's mouth

sorry for ur loss, bro
ansorgii is not that cheap...never heard of this kind of death before

Hello Tezr!

sorry about the loss! That had been an accident no-one could imagine ...

Algae wafers let bichirs freaking out! Pure lust & panic had led the ansorgii twist gravel that he could not spit out as usual. It would had been also a feeder, a pellet ore anything else to eat - s..t happens!

Greetings

Uwe

I've seen a poly get impacted.
Bloody pigs will accidentally ingest gravel.
It's a gut wrenching site from there on..................
