First off I am building an in wall tank so I am considering plumbing options.
1.. a sump

K your typical sump plumbed has a pump that sucks the water out of your sump and flows to your tank and an overflow/drain attached too your tank that drains the water into the sump. (understood)

The real question is how to achieve a drain point for a hard plumbed unit without a pump.

A waste water line ? can someone fill in the gaps on the attached image

plan b is add a pump

Where is the water in coming from?

Is the "sump" the drain in a basement or a sump/tank?

the drain in the basement has issues that would take a while to explain sooo would be better off with a tank for a sump

No need for a sump then.. Just a drain... Sump is for filtration of water coming from the tank and going back into the main tank..

Would your set up work ... I haven't any experience with that type...

that's the head scratcher where to drain 2 without a pump

without a pump if it were drained into a sump then it would still need somewhere to go.

Sounds more like you are talking about a septic tank ;) Or a holding tank .

Are you planning on this tank draining and filling at a constant?

I think you might have just gave me the advice i needed would need to have it run to a septic or holding tank.
