Any of the scalare species will be hardy as long as basic husbandry is kept in mine. Leopoldi is hardy as well along with any captive bred Altums.

I’m a stickler for wild/wild type angels. The Rio Nanay Peruvians scalare, Manacupuru, and Santa Isabel angels are absolutely gorgeous.

They’re all pretty tough after a good qt and acclimation. However, it’s arguable that albinos, double darks, and veil or super veil are slightly more sensitive. Stick with shorter fin...I get my stuff from Steve Rybicki at Angels Plus and they’ve all been rock solid. He has some amazing stuff...
