Hiya everyone! I have been using the Nutrafin Cycle since Boxing Day (the correct levels as shown on the tin) and as of now, my nitrite and nitrate levels are at around 0, I don't have an ammonia tester 'cause apparently I don't need it, my GH is at around 3, my KH is at 3, the pH is at 6.4 and my Cl2 levels are apparently at 1 but I put dechlorinator in on Boxing Day and so that must be a fluke.

Anyway, if I were to put Kissing Gourami (2 of them) into this tank just now, would I be okay in doing this? And further, if not, what would I have to change to be able to add them in today or tomorrow?

Thanks!!!

Also, in case there are other fish which would be preferred to be put in first instead, here is a list of the other fish:

- Red Tailed Black Shark
- Swordtails
- Rainbowfish
- BGKF
- African ButterflyFish
- Angelfish
- Glass Catfish.

Thanks so much everyone!!!!!

Yeah, sorry - I was just putting the species down. I plan to get 3 Rainbowfish (and 4 Glass Catfish, 2 Angelfish and 3 Swordtails too). :)

And about the size of the tank - it's 30 Gallons but the size isn't an issue at the moment because I am prepared to get a larger one later on if needed.

Should be fine but you should at least upgrade to a 50 gallon but a 75-100 gallon would be better...

In my experience the nutrafin cycle stuff is garbage and doesn't really do anything. I also wouldn't add the fish until testing the parameters. Nitrate should be under 40ppm, nitrite = o, and ammonia = 0.

Way too small for a BGK long term, will become too small quickly if your angels end up as a pair. The Swords will breed non stop unless you get only one sex. Red tail sharks can be aggressive but not always and glass cats don't do well with fast moving fish, they tend to be very shy and will not fight for food. Kissing gouramis can get close to a foot so not a good idea either. As already stated, you need to wait til there is a rise in nitrates. It has only been two days so it has not finished cycling yet. Not really impressed with Nutrafin products, usually need either seeded media or time to do it properly but good luck whatever you decide. Once you do get fish in it take pics.
