Hi have a discus tank that i am looking to get timed lights on do you think this is a good idea and if so what kind should i get thx

You can put any light on a simple timer from a hardware or big box store.

When you have a large number of tanks, having a timer makes them more enjoyable! Helps save on the power bills too. Depending on how complicated you can get, there are a variety of timers that accept multiple plug ins, and even power strips with half the outlets set to timer, and half set to run constantly (for things like heaters and filters). Ditto what was said about getting them at hardware or chain department stores.
I have timers on all my tanks. Helps conserve energy, plus I don't need to remember to turn on and off the lights.
