just thought of this i dont know why but has anyone here ever fished with feeder goldfish?

Never used one for bait, but I have caught a goldfish with a fishing pole.

Don't do it, you will probably get in trouble if F&W finds out. Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't goldfish introduced to the Chessy and the Mississippi. Fishing with goldfish could end bad for you and the fish you are fishing for. They have carp in the biggest pond in my state and they are huge, but eat everything. I would much rather fight a Bluegill!

you could also possibly introduce parasites, disease, etc. to your ecosystem then one day there will be nothing to fish for!

Yes, illegal in most states for all the above reasons. And Lg Mouth Bass love'em so it was unfair to fish with them in competition.

Ive fished for goldfish Lots of big ones in the pond I grew up near.

Goldfish are illegal to fish with in most states, including mine. Fish that would eat Goldfish will eat most baitfish. I do feed my LMB goldfish.
