Has any of you been skydiving? It is something I have always wanted to do, but would like to hear some experiences with it. Is it as wild as it looks? :feedback: :p

I haven't done it yet, but my brother is a instructor at the Canadian armed forces jump school.
It can be as wild as it looks.
What type of jumping were you considering?
Tandem or freefall?
Tandem is where you are strapped to the instructor and he/she does everything.
It's o.k. but I think it would be kind of boring having someone do everything for me.
Freefall is alot more exciting and its what I plan on.Its alot more training intensive though.
BTW my Bro says that after over 6000 freefall and a uncountable number of static line jumps, when you are teaching someone to sky dive its relatively easy to get them to jump
THE FIRST TIME.Its a crapload harder to get them to jump the second time.
Good luck.
Eric

Skydiving is something I have always wanted to try. I guess I shouldn't say try, because either you are successful  or not  . haha Add bungy jumping, playing the piano, flying a plane and having sex outdoors and you have just come up with my dream list. :grinno:

Same here. Its on my to do list.

No ****ing way im jumping out of a plane, not unless i can fly, im not afraid of hieghts, just falling is such a *****. that and i'm accident prone, it doesnt stop me from much, but id probably die from skydiving, something retarded would happen, like lightning would hit me or a car or a moose. or i'd be chewing gum and choke on it.

I am looking into the freefall. They say you have to take so many hours of training to freefall. If it is too many I will do the tandum. but if I am going to do it I might as well go all the way with it.

Yes, military using t34's, hated it, got worse each time. I hate hieghts and have been medics on seen at 3 accidents, 2 of them fatal, and broke both of my feet during a night jump. Maybe using decent chutes I would enjoy it but I doubt it. I have 15 staticline jumps 12 freejumps from between 3500 and 5000feet, 2 night jumps, 1 halo, and one low altitude jump from 750 feet. Best was halo, worst was low alt, easiest were night jumps, (at least until impact) all but the halo were from choppers.
