I have a single male roughly about 3 inches. I would like to add 2 females as read here that one female would be harrassed to much.
1- Is it safe for the females to simply add them to a males tank (outside 60 gallon pvc "pond")?.
I could bring him inside in a tank to watch things but seems happy outside esp with summer daily rains and feel this would be better for breeding.
I have rosy reds with him and he hasnt bothered them in fact swims with them but not sure how things will go with other sunfish.
The "pond" has a few clay pots for caves and driftwood on bottom.
2- Will they spawn and raise the young without me having to seperate the fry? Granted I will net out the fry and raise in tank once free swimming.
3- If a pair spawn will single female be killed?
Any other suggestions would be great .
