Has anyone bred Vieja Regani?

I've had mine for a long time and no luck. They are *******s to each other and, despite a fleeting interest that they show from time to time, I have little hope of them doing the deed for me.
So far I've had them as alphas in a 220 community, separated and reintroduced to one another in various tanks, and alone together. Yesterday i actually decided to divide them in a 55 gallon. As always, the first hour or so in their new environment looked promising but it soon ended with a divider between them. The male is very pushy and resorts to ceaselessly chasing the female all over the tank; 55, 150, 180, 220, it doesnt matter. in fact, the only way that I can get them to coexist with one another is with the use of a divider- or in a crowded community.
It is worth me saying that these fish, while initially quite shy, grow into complete jerks. The female is not exempt. A while back i decided to give them a break from each other and, to my surprise, found the female to be more trouble than the male. Very frustrating.
When together she is often first to show interest. She ventures constantly into close proximity of the male despite his belligerence- a tease. I can hardly blame him for wanting to strangle her...
Good luck with yours btw. Hopefully someone out there has pulled this off.

About the same here the first time around. I only got a group of 5 to the 6" mark in a 125. They constantly chased each other. No real damage though. Didn't get further with them because I moved and donated them. I'll see how this new group pans out.
