Has anyone done a discus and stingray tank?

Has anyone here hever done a stingray and discus tank? Or know anyone who has? Or if it would work? A few people in the Stingray section said it would, but i want some more opinions.

yes my friend did with no problem. they both require same attention to water quality. If you take care of the water youll be fine. Ive seen alot of youtube videos of them together. Very nice combo.

When I worked at lfs. They put stingrays with discus. They also put a arowana in that tank to. But the stings and arowana where about 4 inches being the smallest they had in there and 6 inches being the biggest in there. Also had silver dollars in with them. All the discus they had where about the size of a baseball

Like the video shows, it will work when the rays are young, but when they get older, the rays become an issue. I have had a 17" stingray catch 8-10" tinfoil barbs, scale them and then proceed to take their heads off. No exaggeration. And tinfoil barbs are pretty robust fish, especially when compared to discus. I have seen it work with larger rays, but when they get hungry, they can eat fish. Discus can make nutritious, but very expensive meals.
