I disconnect my Classic Eheim filter and I look in the side and see somthing move. I remove the media and look and I have fry from my rosie barbs in the filter??? Since these are egg laying fish, some of the eggs must have been sucked up and hatched in the filter. Just though I would share and see if anyone has had this happen to them.

Happens all the time, especially with my Convicts as they breed often, the fry simply get sucked in and when I open the canister to clean it I always find a bunch swimming around in there.

Yeah, nothing unusual at all. Ive found fish between 1-2cm under my gravel filter when I pull my tank for a spring clean. The fry must wriggle down through the gravel and have enough nutrients being pulled through the media to survive.
I've had some real strange colour varients because of this too!

Yeah, I have had bushynose plecos get into my canisters, biowheels (swimming upstream against the return flow) and undergravel filters. They have gotten quite sizable in the UGF since it rarely gets pulled apart...
