Thanks, I will check them out. I was ordering 50 Moenkhausia sanctaefilomenae (red eye tetras). The price is right ($1.09) so I figured that I would research them further. The Wet Spot has some other stuff that I might be interested in though.I have ordered from them one time. I ordered 12 Bleeding Hearts tetras. By day 3 after arrival 9 of the 12 had died for no apparent reason at all.
I suggest you order from the Wet Spot in Portland Or.
Just wondering what your gonna put the 50 Tetras inThanks, I will check them out. I was ordering 50 Moenkhausia sanctaefilomenae (red eye tetras). The price is right ($1.09) so I figured that I would research them further. The Wet Spot has some other stuff that I might be interested in though.
Good to know. I am also in CA so that would mean a lot less handling of the product, and the fish that I am ordering are just filler and pretty generic, so I'm not too concerned about scientific identification.I bought fish from them circa 2 years ago, from the divers den section. The fish arrived healthy and packaged well--individual double bagging for each fish.
That being said, i ordered 3 syno cats they had id as schoutedeni, which turned out to be waterloti or perhaps a hybrid variant, but most definitely not pure schoutedeni. So use discretion if ordering more exclusive species.
It should be noted that there are two separate locations liveaquaria ships from. I believe divers den ships from wisconsin, and most of their other stock from California. Its unknown to me whether their shipping procedures are different between the locations.
Good to know. I am ordering 50 tetras so I accept that a few will be lost in transit and am willing to take that risk.Bought from them before. Bought numerous fish. Shipped via ups and came on time. They are bagged and boxed very well. They can give a hard time if the fish arrives doa but I haven’t had that problem.
