My rays do this all the time not sure if it has to do with the RTC Who knows maybe she feels threatened...

It might be doing that to look bigger so it wont become a meal, but who knows. rtc's are very active.

It looks like the mm is trying to show dominance over the rtc. Rays will do it to other rays. Either that or it is trying to eat it! How big is the rtc?

I've seen this when new fish were introduced, I thought the same as above, to make themselves look bigger to be more intimidating or not to get eaten... either way.

Is the rtc interacting with the rays at all?

he was trying but the rays didnt want anything to do with him...
i have since taken him out and put him back in my 90g.

woke up to a normal ray....i think you guy are right in him trying to make himself look bigger...

Love that MM

I actually like it when they do that dome shape

The fact that the rtc stays mostly on the bottom and is in his territory is most likely why. He'll adjust. Just leave them together and let them work it out. No harm, no foul.
