Has anyone ever used NLS Mega Fish Formula? How is it compared to massivore?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'd say my ornate bichirs or my cigar sharks, followed closely by my jade goby, then my blood parrots and a goldfish. All of the above can munch on massivore like they are candy. The cigar sharks will suck them in like they are nothing.

EDIT: Yes, I know how bad of an idea the goldfish is in my tropical tank, I'm trying to find a new home for it.

10mm is far too big of a pellet for any of your fish, unless your sharks are 12+ inches.
It's not about what a fish can stuff in its mouth, it's about proper digestion, and assimilation. The NLS 10mm are quite hard, and don't absorb water like Massivore so I would personally recommend s smaller pellet if you are considering NLS.

The sharks are all around 12 inches, as are the ornate bichirs, and the goldfish. Jade Toby is at 10 inches, and blood parrots are around 8 to 9. I understand what you are saying though

I suspect that the only fish in that group that would be able to handle them would be the sharks. The other fish would reject them due to their firmness. The 10mm pellets are as hard as a rock, and do not soften up in the aquarium for several hours.

100% correct. If they can't swallow them whole, they probably won't eat it. Of course, there is also the 6mm Thera A that works well. I feed that to my big guys.
