Has Anyone ever used the Acrylic Scratch Removal Kit?

On all the acrylic here at the zoo, I use Novus products. Work like a dream. I had to take a few nice dings out of the main arapaima pool panel prior to filling it. All came out great.

They have three steps, but really you only need Step 2 and Step 1. Step 2 is more or less a rubbing compound. With a little elbow grease, you can take out almost any deep scratch. Then using step one, you can buff the area to match the rest. I use a mix 10% Step 1 90% water to do the daily cleaning each morning when I wipe down the panels. Keeps the extra smooth and crystal clear.

It says you don't have to drain the tank but recomend removing the fish. There is no chemicals to add. The liquid is a polisher I believe and is optional. It's pretty much different grade sand paper.

You should get that $75 pool at wal mart and put your fish in there while you polish your tank. Also that polish is the key to getting it crystal clear again after using the sand paper.

I have polished lots of plexi and acrylics for car audio systems, and you get best results with a buffing wheel and different grades of rubbing compounds.
