i had a pleco that had some kind of fungus that made its left eye bubble.
i thought it was an injury as it was only one eye and none of the other fish had problems. plus there were two chinese algae eaters and a convict in the tank. i took the pleco to a lfs as a pleco would get to big for my 55 and i wanted a diagnosis as well.they said it looked like a fungus infection and told me to treat my tank with that stuff for 10 days to kill the fungus' food and starve the fungus or bad bacteria so they die and boost my fishes immune system.
before anyone says anything about my inhabitants i bought the tank used stocked with the previous owners fish and soon added my convict and removed the pleco, caes, gourami, and columbian tetra.
thanks ahead for any input
